NFL Power Rankings
1. Philadelphia Eagles
After a 2-2 start to the season, Philly has racked up eight consecutive wins and is playing as well as any team in the league right now. In short, the Eagles have dominated the NFL over the last two months.
Philly has picked up impressive road wins over the Los Angeles Rams and the Baltimore Ravens. This week, they host the Carolina Panthers before the Pittsburgh Steelers come to town.
Running back Saquon Barkley will win Offensive Player of the Year and is one of the favorites to claim MVP.
2. Detroit Lions
The Lions avoided a Thanksgiving upset on Thursday against Chicago, but their result was worrisome enough that they've dropped to No. 2 in the rankings.
The Bears gave Detirot everything they could handle, and if it wasn't for a brutal mishandling of their final timeout, the game would have at least gone into OT. In the end, Detriot held on for a three-point victory.
Dan Campbell's team ranks first in the NFL in points per game.
3. Buffalo Bills
Sean McDermott's team is playing great football as they open the month of December and come into this week after dominating the San Francisco 49ers.
Quarterback Josh Allen is the betting favorite to win MVP as he and Saquon Barkley have made it a two-horse race at this point.
Can anyone in the AFC stop the Buffalo Bills? Remember, they still need to climb the hurdle of beating our No. 4 team in the postseason.
4. Kansas City Chiefs
Patrick Mahomes and company want to make NFL history by winning their third consecutive Super Bowl and they're heading in the right direction with a 10-1 start.
KC held on for a tight victory over the Las Vegas Raiders on Friday and have been lucky to have a few of their recent wins.
Many believe the Chiefs have not played their best football yet and are on a decline, but the facts remain that they're the only one-loss team in the AFC.
5. Minnesota Vikings
Things have not always been petty this season for Minnesota but here they are entering Week 14 with a 10-2 record and challenging the Lions for the top spot in the NFC North.
The bottom line is the Vikings keep winning, no matter how ugly it looks.
Kevin O'Connell will likely win coach of the year, and Sam Darnold has reinvented himself in Minnesota. They have a matchup with former starter Kirk Cousins and the Atlanta Falcons this week.
6. Green Bay Packers
After losing their season opener to the Eagles, the Packers have won eight of their last ten games.
Jordan Love is playing at a high level, and first-year Packer Josh Jacobs has been one of the best backs in football this season. The lone issue for them is they happen to play in the best division in football, so their three losses has them in third in the NFC North.
Green Bay is coming off a blowout win over the Miami Dolphins on Thanksgiving.
7. Pittsburgh Steelers
There has been no bigger surprise in the NFL this year than the Steelers and QB Russell Wilson is a massive part of their success.
Mike Tomlin is on his way to another winning season at the helm of the Steelers and they look poised for a playoff appearance.
Pittsburgh has one of the best defenses in the NFL and is a legitimate Super Bowl contender when Russell Wilson is playing at a high level.
8. Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens are the best five-loss team in the NFL, but how much does that really matter? Lamar Jackson was in the MVP conversation, but a head-to-head loss against fellow MVP contender Saquon Barley in a game where Jackson looked human has killed his chances.
John Harbaugh's team has had a tough schedule this season and has shown flashes of being a Super Bowl contender.
This season, Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry have been the best quarterback-running-back combo in football, but the team has had inconsistent results when it comes to putting it all together on the field.
9. Los Angeles Chargers
Head coach Jim Harbaugh has done an outstanding job in year one at the helm of the Chargers. I'm not sure many people expected him to turn things around this fast, but Justin Herbert's new-found trust in Ladd McConkey has made the offense into a formidable unit.
Harbaugh has completely changed the culture of this franchise and the Chargers have a top-three defensive unit in football and are on their way to a playoff berth.
10. Denver Broncos
Rookie quarterback Bo Nix has completely exceeded expectations in year one. Through the first 9 weeks of the season, everyone assumed that Jayden Daniels had Offensive Rookie of the Year locked up. Now, Nix is giving him a run for his money thanks to the Broncos' strong play.
Nix led his Broncos to a comeback win last night over the Cleveland Browns. Denver has an elite defensive unit that has led them to an 8-5 record.
