Dallas Mavericks vs. Golden State Warriors Game 3 Prediction

It looked like the Dallas Mavericks had the Warriors right where they wanted them. In the second quarter, the Mavericks rallied and went up 19 points at one point. However, the Mavericks only scored 13 points in the third quarter and ended up losing the second and third quarters by double digits. Luka Doncic, of the Mavericks, scored 42 points on 12-of-23 from the field. He also got contributions out of Jalen Brunson, who added 31 points, and Reggie Bullock, who scored 21. But the bench, between Maxi Kleber, Daviss Bertans, and Spencer Dinwiddie scored just 13 points combined. The Mavericks lack depth and consistency. The defense was also a problem on the road again, allowing the Warriors to shoot 56.1% from the field. Golden State also nailed 50% from downtown on 28 attempts. Dallas shot 46.7% from deep on 45 attempts. They shot the ball well, however, inside, they got beat badly. The Warriors scored 62 points in the paint while the Mavericks only added 30 points inside the paint. It just goes to show you that even if Dallas is shooting threes at a very high rate, it's still going to be hard for them to win games and match up. Golden State can shoot just as well while also scoring inside. The Warriors are also much better n the glass and usually assist on more shots. Steph Curry added 32 points in the win while Jordan Poole added 23 points off the bench. Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, and Draymond Green weren't even the top three scorers for the Warriors. Instead, Kevon Looney added 21 points and 12 rebounds on 10-of-14 from the field. The Warriors have so many different ways of attacking the Dallas defense. Obviously, Dallas has been terrific at home, but the Warriors present so many more challenges. It's going to be a quick series for Golden State. I'll take the points with the road team.
