Celtics vs. Warriors Prediction: Can Steph Curry and the Warriors Close it Out in Game 6?
The Golden State Warriors defeated the Boston Celtics, 104-94, in Game 5 of the NBA Finals. On Thursday, the Warriors will head out on the road looking to win the NBA Finals with the same core that has already won three NBA titles.
It's going to be hard to beat the Celtics on the road twice in a row, but after the Warriors dominated the Celtics with Steph Curry missing every three-point attempt in Game 5, it's clear that anything is possible for Game 6. Here are our picks, predictions, and odds for Thursday's Game 6 between the Boston Celtics and Golden State Warriors.

Boston Celtics vs. Golden State Warriors Game 6 Prediction
The Golden State Warriors were expected to take care of business in Game 5 at home and did exactly that.
The Warriors won on their home floor, 104-94 to take a 3-2 lead in the NBA FInals. Golden State held Boston to below 42% for the second straight game and despite shooting just 22.5% from deep, the Warriors still found a way to get the job done at home.
The Celtics shot just 67.7% from the foul line and turned the ball over 11 more times than the Warriors. The Warriors ultimately didn't score many points off those turnovers and were also outrebounded, but the Celtics missed 10 of their foul shots, which didn't help their case.
Golden State also scored 50 points in the paint while the Celtics only scored 36 points in the paint. Boston relied on shooting away from the paint, which didn't help them.

For the Celtics, Jayson Tatum went 10-for-20 from the field and added 27 points and 10 rebounds. But only Marcus Smart scored 20 or more points along with Tatum while the bench added just four points (before garbage time).
Meanwhile, Steph Curry scored just 16 points on 7-for-22 from the field and 0-for-9 from three. Even Andrew Wiggins went 0-for-6 from downtown in Game 5, but he added 26 points and 13 rebounds in another monstrous game on the glass. The bench also came alive with Gary Payton II adding 15 and Jordan Poole scoring 14 points.
All series, I've talked about Boston being the deeper team. But last night, the Warriors showed out with their depth to make up for Curry's weak performance.
Anyway, the Celtics are heading back home for Game 6. They'll need to limit turnovers and shoot better from the field. Clearly, at home, I'd expect the Celtics to do just that but if they play anything as they did in Game 4, the Celtics are going to be toast. The ball movement has lacked recently, the turnovers have increased, and the assists have been down.
The Celtics need to adjust and play more together as a team. They've been taking too many contested shots, haven't finished around the rim well, and are now missing foul shots at a brutal rate. But again, the Celtics have all the pieces to win this game and bring on a Game 7. I'll bet on that. Give me the Celtics, at home, in Game 6.
