Trae Young has been very good at Madison Square Garden – nothing earth-shattering here. This is sure to be a popular play tonight, and while I don’t always love a flooded prop, this is a great spot for Young. Over his last eight games at MSG, Young is averaging 39.12 points per game in one of basketball’s most iconic venues.
Young has scored 40 or more points in four of those eight games and seems to feed off the energy every time he enters the building. Trae Young isn’t the most liked player within the confines of the Garden, but that’s something he seems to relish.
I do like a good narrative, and Young has been very good in New York. Young has really elevated his scoring over his last five games – scoring 28, 35, 36, and 42 points before a 14-point effort against the Toronto Raptors. I like this spot for a guy who seems to love the bright lights of MSG. Let's hope we get Trae-Day!
