Georgia Bulldogs vs. Oregon Ducks Prediction
The Georgia Bulldogs will be missing a ton of last year's contributors. But that doesn't mean all is lost for Georgia. They've been recruiting extremely well recently and should have another powerhouse team, especially on the defensive end. First, let's talk about the offense. Stetson Bennett IV will still quarterback Georgia. He's a short quarterback with a ton of heart. He did enough for a Georgia team that had a terrific defense last year. He's not a massive prospect for the NFL but he's done exactly what the Bulldogs have needed out of him. Georgia will be fine at receiver and at tight end, things could get really fun. The Bulldogs will have plenty of targets like Brock Bowers, who added 56 catches for 882 yards and 13 touchdowns. Plus, Arik Gilbert could make an impact this year for Georgia. They'll also have Ladd McConkey and Adonai Mitchell back. Both of those receivers added 60 catches together. Georgia won't have their top running backs with them anymore between James Cook and Zamir White but Kenny McIntosh and Kendall Milton will be the next guys up. They'll be great, knowing how well the Bulldogs' offensive line has been blocked in recent years. Oregon, on the other hand, will need to fix some things on the defensive end. Last year, the defense was terrible in coverage and also struggled to make tackles consistently. The pass rush was always effective and should be just as good this year with the linebacker group that they've recruited. On the other hand, Bo Nix will get his first crack at things in an Oregon uniform. He's played many games in the SEC with Auburn and the lights won't be too bright for him in this one. He's a very good playmaker but had his ups and downs with Auburn, which led to him transferring. Oregon will have a lot of transfers on the offensive end and it could take some time for Oregon to develop some chemistry there. Georgia's defense was amazing last year. It'll be hard to replicate that this year. But if they're anywhere close, Georgia will win this game by a whole bunch of points. The SEC is so much superior.
