- Miami has covered the spread in 7 of their last 8 games against AFC opponents
It really can't be said enough just how much of an excellent job Brian Flores is doing in Miami. We didn't expect much of the Dolphins this year but they were fantastic. Coached to an impressive start by Brian Flores. Then they decided to bench starter Ryan Fitzpatrick before their bye week and name rookie Tua Tagovailoa the starter. Many, myself included thought it was the wrong move. Brian Flores was right, again.
Miami has been brilliant since Tua started under center. They've managed to outscore two high scoring offenses in the Cardinals and Chargers and this week they come up against the Broncos, a much more appealing proposition.
I haven't been that impressed with the Broncos this year. There have been some great moments and Jerry Jeudy is starting to showcase why he was so highly rated but I don't think that the defense will be able to hold back Tua and the Dolphins, who've been sensational despite a lack of big name talent.
The Denver offense isn't great either. Last week they struggled to put up points against the Raiders who haven't exactly been great defensively, and their score the week before was inflated by points in garbage time. The Dolphins won't go that easy on them and I think giving up 3.5 points is great for bettors here and I fully expect the Dolphins to cover and cover with ease.
