The Commanders host the Titans on Sunday for the NFL's Week 5 action. Can Carson Wentz impress? John Hyslop answers.
ANALYSIS

Commanders vs. Titans Prediction, Player Prop Pick: Can Carson Wentz Impress in Week 5?

It's time to start getting our action in for Sunday. It just is. I know we have a nice day of college football ahead of us but that doesn't mean we can't slip some NFL in for tomorrow. The best part about betting on the NFL on Saturday is by the time Sunday rolls around, you may forget you even made the bet. It's like Christmas in October when that happens. Especially when it wins. It's even better when the move is plus money. That's simply not beatable. Lucky for us, I've scoured the board. Left no rock unturned in my search for plus-money greatness. The results are something we can all be proud of. I know I'm pretty proud of this banger.

Commanders vs. Titans Player Prop Pick

Carson Wentz Over 1.5 TD Passes (+155) (Bet $100 to win $155)

*Odds available at DraftKings at time of publishing*

We're at DraftKings because they've got the best number. If we're being honest, I don't even know if anyone else is out with this thing. It feels like an easy market to post but apparently not. I know if I was in charge, all books would have to have quarterback touchdown numbers out by Friday. It just makes sense and creates a better user experience for the bettors. That's what I care about. The people.

Commanders vs. Titans Prediction

Now everyone is going to chime in and say "Carson Wentz sucks" or something similar and while they could be part right, I think this is a pretty good opportunity for us. For starters, a plus money move is nice but at the end of the day, the street credit we get off this thing is what makes it so appealing. There is nothing more fun than showing up with a ticket on a guy your entire crew hates, then watching it cash. That's called living people.

The haters are going to say that Wentz has only thrown one touchdown in the last two weeks combined. It's true. It's a scumbag move to bring that up but it's true. What they won't tell you is that the Commanders played the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles in those weeks. Both of those defenses are legit. Like why the hell would we have taken Wentz against them? We wouldn't have. That's not how we roll. We would have had him in the first two weeks though when he threw seven combined touchdowns against the Detroit Lions and Jacksonville Jaguars though. That would have been smart.

Of the two defenses discussed above, the Tennessee Titans are most like the Lions and Jaguars. I'd say more Lion than Jaguar but I'm not really a cat guy so I don't know. What I do know is that no team in the NFL has given up more touchdown passes to quarterbacks this season than the Tennessee Titans. In fact, every quarterback they've played this season has dropped at least two touchdowns on them. We're talking guys like Daniel Jones and Matt Ryan here people. This should not be +155. That's dumb.
