NFL Week 6 Best Player Props: Rhamondre Stevenson and the RB Prop Watch List

It's fun to win bets. It just is. But sometimes, you have to kick it up a notch. Kind of like when you're out drinking beers, and someone orders a round of shots. In this case, the beers are the standard lines, and the shots are what we're about to talk about. That's the best way I can describe it. Since it's Thursday, there are already a bunch of standard prop lines out, so we kind of know what we are getting into. What are missing and what we are really waiting for are the alt lines at FanDuel. The good stuff. The +500 bangers for 100+ yards from a rando-type stuff. They'll be along soon, but that doesn't mean we can't start talking about what we are looking for right now. We can always do that. We know the matchups people.

Week 6 Running Back Watch

Melvin Gordon - Denver Broncos

This may prove to be a better rushing + receiving yards play, so keep that in mind, but as of now, it looks like we may be able to get a sweet ladder on Gordon. I'm not sure if we'll be getting alt lines on Gordon for rushing + receiving, but since he's in a stand-alone game being played Monday night, I am holding out hope. I think he's going 100+ in that market. It just feels right. We all know that Javonte Williams is out for the season, and that dynamic helps Gordon. It led to him being on the field for 56% of the snaps in Week 5. All we need at this point is the right opponent, so we can feel free to get some.

That opponent is the Los Angeles Chargers. No team in the NFL has given up more yards per carry to opposing running backs than they have this season. Over their last three games, we've seen them give up at least 100 rushing yards to a running back in all three games. Gordon's rushing ladder is in play at 60+, 70+, and 80+ if we get good numbers. On top of that, his rushing + receiving yards number could be in play as well since the game script could get away from Denver, and they may be forced to throw. Only three teams in the NFL have given up more receptions to the running back position this season than Los Angeles. Gordon could get us into the Gambling Hall of Fame on Monday night.

Rhamondre Stevenson - New England Patriots

This one is pretty obvious since this guy just went off for 161 rushing yards last week. Still, there are some things to sort out. First, we don't know if Damien Harris is playing. If he is, then we get a better number for Stevenson (obviously), but we also get fewer carries. On top of that, who is the quarterback this week for the Patriots? We want Bailey Zappe, but after careful consideration, I don't think it matters if it's Mac Jones. We'll take either as long as Damien Harris is out and we get good prices on the 70+, 80+, and 90+ ladder.

The only thing we do know now is that the Patriots will be in Cleveland taking on the Browns this Sunday. For everyone saying that Stevenson only went off last week because he was playing the Detroit Lions, you are right. The thing is, the Browns are almost as bad at stopping the run as the Lions. We've got a good matchup here. They gave up seven yards a carry to the Los Angeles Chargers last week. We've seen a guy named Tyler Allgeier go for 84 yards on them (no disrespect Tyler). If Harris is out, we can hitch a ride to the moon with Stevenson this week. We just need to see some numbers.
