Indianapolis Colts vs. Jacksonville Jaguars Prediction

The Jags enter play with a record of 2-3, and they are coming off two losses in a row, while the Colts come in 2-2-1. Their most recent win came on a Thursday Night Football game that had fans questioning if they will ever watch football again. It was one of the worst games the league has seen in the last few seasons, but the only thing that matters for the Colts is they walked out with a victory. That win may spark some momentum in a team that has not met expectations thru the first five weeks.

The Colts went out in the off-season and got Matt Ryan, a guy that they believed could help this team out in a big way. It has been a quarterback carousel for the Colts since the retirement of Andrew Luck, but they have felt like, the last few years, they were just a QB away from being a super bowl team. Ryan has not looked good in his first five-game, but the team remains confident in him.

The Jags entered the year with a lot of question marks. They went out and got former Super Bowl Champion head coach Doug Pederson to take over the team and work with young QB Trevor Lawrence. This is a big year for Lawrence, who really struggled in his rookie campaign. He has shown flashes of the star he was projected to be but has also really struggled at times. This will be an important game on Sunday.

I am all over the Colts here. This is a spot that I love for them at home after getting a long week to rest. I think a veteran team plays a big role, and this was a team that has been banged up. They are still without Jonathan Taylor, but the line has not moved much, telling me, based on the line, that it is a Colts play. I trust the Colts' defense also to come out and play strong. Lawrence does not strike a ton of fear into me, and I think the Colts can limit the Jags in this spot.
