Cowboys vs. Giants Prediction, Betting Pick, Latest NFL Odds for Sunday Night Football

The Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants close Sunday's slate with an NFC East rivalry game under the lights at MetLife Stadium. Dak Prescott leads a Dallas offense loaded with receiving talent, while Jaxson Dart begins Year 2 with Malik Nabers potentially returning for John Harbaugh's Giants debut. Check out this Cowboys vs. Giants prediction and best bet for Sunday, September 13.

Cowboys vs. Giants Prediction: Will Dak Prescott Continue Domination Over Giants on Sunday Night Football Against John Harbaugh?

Dallas visits MetLife Stadium for an 8:20 PM ET kickoff on NBC. The Cowboys are 3-point road favorites, with the total at 47.5 on the current board.

Both teams missed the playoffs last season and spent the offseason addressing defensive weaknesses. Dallas finished 7-9-1, while New York went 4-13 before hiring Harbaugh and handing Dart control of the offense for his second season.

Cowboys vs. Giants Recent Results

Dallas finished 7-9-1 despite another productive passing season and has attempted to strengthen the defense around a returning offensive core. Prescott again has CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens, while Javonte Williams is coming off a 1,201-yard rushing season.

New York finished 4-13 but showed more offensive upside after Dart took over. He produced 2,272 passing yards, 487 rushing yards and 24 total touchdowns across 12 starts, giving Harbaugh a legitimate dual-threat quarterback to build around. Nabers is officially questionable but practiced fully throughout the week.

Cowboys vs. Giants Line Movement and Betting Splits

Dallas opened around -2.5 and has moved to the key number of -3. The total is 47.5 on this board, although portions of the broader market have moved toward 48 or 48.5.

The Under has 54% of bets and 66% of the handle, so the market's larger-wager profile is pointing toward a lower-scoring game. Dallas has 60% of spread tickets and 63% of spread handle.

Cowboys vs. Giants Prediction

Dallas has the most established passing attack in the matchup. Prescott has repeatedly played well against New York, carrying a 14-3 career record against the Giants with 31 touchdown passes and a passer rating above 100 in the series.

Lamb and Pickens create a difficult coverage problem because defenses cannot consistently roll help toward both receivers. If New York commits extra defenders to stopping Williams and the running game, Prescott should have one-on-one opportunities outside.

The Giants should be more capable of responding than they were in earlier versions of this rivalry. Dart's rushing ability changes third-down mathematics, and his willingness to attack vertically gives New York a way to generate points quickly rather than relying on 12-play drives.

Nabers is the swing piece. His questionable designation introduces risk, but three consecutive full practices suggest New York has a realistic chance of getting its No. 1 receiver onto the field. His presence would immediately create a more dangerous matchup against a Dallas secondary still integrating new personnel.

Both defenses are also working through structural changes. Dallas and New York have new defensive coordinators, which can create communication mistakes early in the season, particularly against quarterbacks capable of changing plays or extending snaps.

The 47.5 number is attractive because 27-21 is enough. Dallas has the offensive talent to push toward the upper 20s, while Dart's legs and New York's improved skill group create a better chance that the Giants contribute 20-plus rather than forcing the Cowboys to do almost all of the scoring.

Cowboys vs. Giants Best Bet

The betting splits lean toward the Under, but the matchup offers more offensive upside than the current number suggests. Dallas has three proven ways to create chunk plays through Prescott, Lamb and Pickens, while Dart gives New York a dual-threat element that produced 24 total touchdowns in only 12 starts last season.

Recent history also supports the potential for another higher-scoring rivalry game. The two meetings last season reached 51 and 77 points, and another final in the 27-24 or 28-24 range is enough to push this Over across the number.
