5 Minute ReadBroncos vs. Chiefs Same Game Parlay: Targeting Patrick Mahomes, Courtland Sutton on Monday Night Football
Denver and Kansas City close the opening week at Arrowhead Stadium with the Chiefs favored by roughly a field goal and the total sitting at 43.5. This is a more aggressive five-leg construction at +2200, but the bigger payout comes with several intentionally modest player thresholds rather than requiring five ceiling performances.
Both starting quarterbacks return from significant injuries. Bo Nix is back after fracturing his ankle during Denver's playoff run, while Patrick Mahomes makes his first appearance since tearing his ACL and LCL in December. Kansas City added Kenneth Walker III to reshape its backfield, while Denver added Jaylen Waddle to an already experienced receiving group featuring Courtland Sutton.
Broncos vs. Chiefs Preview
Denver enters 2026 after a 14-3 season, an AFC West title and a run to the AFC Championship Game. The Broncos beat Buffalo 33-30 in the Divisional Round before falling 10-7 to New England without Nix, while Kansas City stumbled to 6-11, lost its final six games and missed the playoffs for the first time since 2014.
The Broncos also swept Kansas City last season, winning 22-19 in Denver and 20-13 at Arrowhead. Sutton reached at least 40 receiving yards in both matchups, while Denver's defense held Kansas City below 20 points twice. The recent results make the Broncos particularly interesting with extra protection beyond the standard spread.

Broncos vs. Chiefs Same Game Parlay Breakdown
Leg 1: Kenneth Walker III Anytime TD Scorer
Walker arrives in Kansas City after rushing for 1,027 yards and five touchdowns with Seattle last season. The Chiefs made the reigning Super Bowl MVP one of their biggest offseason additions, giving Andy Reid a proven back capable of carrying a substantial early-down workload while Mahomes works back from his knee injury.
Denver's defensive front makes this a tougher matchup for Walker's yardage markets, but an anytime touchdown requires only one successful trip into scoring territory. Walker has already produced 29 rushing touchdowns through his first four NFL seasons and brings considerably more big-play ability to a Chiefs backfield that needed another difference-maker.
Mahomes remains the player defenses must account for near the goal line, which can create favorable numbers for the running back. For a five-leg parlay priced at +2200, Walker supplies the touchdown upside without needing a huge rushing night.
Leg 2: Broncos Alt Spread +4.5
The alternate spread is one of the strongest foundations of the parlay. Denver is currently only around a 2.5-point underdog, so moving the number to +4.5 gives the Broncos additional protection through the key field-goal margin and allows Kansas City to win a tight game without eliminating the ticket.
Denver was 14-3 last season and swept Kansas City by margins of three and seven points. The Broncos do not need another outright victory here. A 23-20 or 20-17 Chiefs win still gets this leg home.
The matchup in the trenches also gives Denver a legitimate chance to stay close. The Broncos led the NFL in sacks for the second consecutive season, while Kansas City will be without starting tackle Josh Simmons against a front led by Nik Bonitto and Zach Allen.
Leg 3: Adam Trautman 7+ Receiving Yards
Trautman is the low-volume dart throw of the five legs, but seven receiving yards is an extremely small requirement. He cleared this threshold in both games against Kansas City last season, catching one pass for eight yards in the first meeting and two passes for 24 yards in the Christmas rematch.
This is not a bet requiring Trautman to become a featured piece of Denver's passing attack. The Broncos have Sutton, Waddle and Evan Engram ahead of him as more prominent receiving options, but that attention can also leave Trautman available on occasional play-action releases and underneath routes.
One normal completion can finish the entire leg. That makes 7+ yards a reasonable way to add price without demanding meaningful target volume from a secondary receiving option.
Leg 4: Courtland Sutton 40+ Receiving Yards
Sutton has been remarkably consistent against Kansas City recently. He recorded 59 yards on eight targets in the first meeting last season and exactly 40 yards on 10 targets at Arrowhead, giving him at least 40 yards in each of his last four games against the Chiefs.
The 40-yard milestone was also well below Sutton's usual production for much of 2025. He reached at least 40 receiving yards in 12 of 17 regular-season games and repeatedly operated as one of Nix's primary intermediate and boundary targets.
Waddle's arrival adds target competition, but it should also make it more difficult for Kansas City to tilt coverage toward Sutton. Sutton does not need WR1-level volume here. Three or four productive catches could be enough.
Leg 5: Patrick Mahomes 4+ Rushing Attempts
Mahomes recorded at least four rushing attempts in 10 of his 14 regular-season appearances last year before the knee injury ended his season. The threshold does not require meaningful rushing yardage, only enough movement outside the pocket to accumulate four official attempts.
Denver's pass rush creates a strong matchup-based path. The Broncos have led the league in sacks in consecutive seasons, and Simmons being ruled out at left tackle increases the possibility that Mahomes is forced off his spot against Bonitto, Allen and the rest of Denver's front.
The knee is the obvious concern, and Kansas City may limit designed quarterback runs in his first game back. Still, four attempts can come through pressure-induced scrambles and broken plays rather than a heavy designed rushing package, making this a much more attainable number than a traditional Mahomes rushing-yard prop.
Broncos vs. Chiefs Same Game Parlay (+2200) Check out these best odds at DraftKings Sportsbook
- Leg 1: Kenneth Walker III Anytime TD Scorer
- Leg 2: Broncos Alt Spread +4.5
- Leg 3: Adam Trautman 7+ Receiving Yards
- Leg 4: Courtland Sutton 40+ Receiving Yards
- Leg 5: Patrick Mahomes 4+ Rushing Attempts
The +2200 price reflects the extra fifth leg, but the construction avoids stacking five difficult thresholds. Denver gets additional spread protection, Sutton needs only 40 yards, Trautman essentially needs one reception and Mahomes needs four rushing attempts rather than a significant yardage total.
Walker finding the end zone is the primary scoring requirement. If Denver keeps the game within one possession and its pass rush forces Mahomes to move, the remaining player props can develop naturally around that competitive AFC West game script.
