The matchup brings together two offenses capable of creating explosive plays in multiple ways. Buffalo just generated 36 points behind another huge Josh Allen performance, while Detroit scored 31 behind Jared Goff and a dominant rushing performance from Jahmyr Gibbs. Buffalo's passing game also gets an appealing matchup against a Lions secondary that surrendered 410 yards through the air in its opener.

Detroit opened its season with a 31-30 overtime win over New Orleans after nearly letting a large lead slip away. Goff threw for 206 yards and two touchdowns, while Gibbs carried the offense with 156 rushing yards and two scores. Buffalo also survived a shootout, beating Houston 36-31 behind 334 passing yards, two passing touchdowns and two rushing scores from Allen.
The most recent meeting between these teams produced one of the wildest games of the 2024 season. Buffalo won 48-42 in Detroit as Allen accounted for 362 passing yards, 70 rushing yards and four total touchdowns. Khalil Shakir caught six passes for 39 yards and a touchdown, while Jameson Williams scored late for Detroit.

Lions vs. Bills Same Game Parlay Breakdown
Bills Moneyline
Buffalo avoids laying a sizable spread in this construction and only needs to win the game. Allen looked immediately comfortable in Joe Brady's offense in Week 1, completing 20 of 29 passes for 334 yards and accounting for four touchdowns against Houston.
The matchup is particularly favorable through the air. New Orleans threw for 410 yards and three touchdowns against Detroit in Week 1, and the Lions enter Thursday with cornerback D.J. Reed questionable. Detroit will also be without starting offensive linemen Christian Mahogany and Blake Miller on the other side of the ball.
Buffalo also gets the emotional edge of opening its new stadium in primetime. The Bills do not need to separate by six or seven points for this leg, making the moneyline a cleaner foundation for the rest of the +850 parlay.
Khalil Shakir 4+ Receptions
Shakir opened the season with exactly four receptions on six targets for 50 yards against Houston. The volume was not massive, but his short and intermediate role continues to give Allen a reliable high-percentage target when Buffalo needs to stay on schedule.
There is also encouraging history in this matchup. Shakir caught six passes for 39 yards and a touchdown against Detroit in 2024, clearing this same four-reception threshold while working primarily underneath against a Lions defense focused on containing Allen's bigger-play options.
The addition of more downfield weapons does create target competition, but four receptions remains a modest requirement. Detroit's secondary struggled badly in Week 1, and another pass-heavy Buffalo game script should give Shakir enough opportunities to reach the milestone.
Dalton Kincaid Anytime TD Scorer
Kincaid was one of Buffalo's biggest Week 1 standouts, catching five of six targets for 130 yards. He consistently created separation downfield and immediately looked like a larger part of the passing offense than he was for stretches last season.
Detroit's coverage problems create another favorable spot. The Lions allowed 410 passing yards against New Orleans, while Buffalo showed heavy usage of multi-tight end personnel in the opener. That gives Allen several ways to isolate Kincaid against linebackers and safeties, particularly in scoring territory.
The touchdown requirement naturally makes this the highest-variance player leg, but Kincaid's Week 1 usage supports taking the chance. If Buffalo approaches the 30-point range again, a tight end who just produced 130 yards should have opportunities near the end zone.
Jameson Williams 50+ Receiving Yards
Williams finished only five yards short of this number in Week 1, catching four passes for 45 yards against New Orleans. More importantly, he drew nine targets, giving him considerably more opportunity than the final yardage total suggests.
Buffalo's defense gave up 31 points and 274 passing yards against Houston, and its secondary remains one of the more attackable areas of the roster. Williams' speed gives Detroit a natural way to challenge Buffalo vertically, particularly if the Lions fall behind and Goff is forced into a more aggressive passing script.
Fifty yards is also a manageable milestone for a receiver with Williams' explosive-play profile. He can reach the number through four or five normal catches, but one deep completion can do most of the work by itself.
