Tyson Fury backed to defeat Deontay Wilder following Joe Rogan interview

Money is pouring in on the Gypsy King after he spoke frankly and openly on Rogan’s podcast.

British boxer Tyson Fury is receiving a flurry of bets to topple top American heavyweight Deontay Wilder when they meet this December, following a frank and open interview on the Joe Rogan Experience.

Following his hour-and-a-half long stint on the popular podcast, a whopping 78% of all bets on the fight have been placed on the Gypsy King.

On the other side of the squared circle, the Bronze Bomber has attracted just 18% of all bets on the heavyweight scrap, with the remaining 4% being placed on the draw.

That’s led to a number of different bookmakers cutting Fury from 6/4 into 5/4, although two bookmakers are sticking with the original price.

On the other side of the ring, Wilder is touted as a 4/6 odds-on favourite to dispose of Fury on December 1st in Los Angeles, although is not being fancied in the betting over the past week.

Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “We’ve seen plenty of action on the lineal heavyweight champion making his third excursion on his comeback trail this winter, with last night’s ground-breaking interview with Joe Rogan proving the catalyst for bets on Fury.

“We expect this match up to attract the most amount of bets throughout the entire year on a boxing bout, more so than both Anthony Joshua’s scraps with Joseph Parker and Alexander Povetkin.

“The Gypsy King’s sincere and candid interview with Joe Rogan hasn’t just filled the press with countless material for coverage, it also appears to have resonated deeply with the punting public firmly in Fury’s favour.”
