Former unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua is back in the ring on Saturday 23rd December for a non-title bout against former title challenger Otto Wallin in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Despite this fight's non-title status, the 34-year-old Joshua remains on a quest to win back the heavyweight world title he last held in 2021 before the first of his two defeats to Oleksandr Usyk.

Joshua has been beaten three times in his last seven fights having won his first 22, giving him an overall professional boxing record of 26 wins and three losses from 29 fights.
His defeats came against Oleksandr Usyk (twice) and Andy Ruiz Jr; he subsequently beat Ruiz in Saudi Arabia to reclaim his WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles having them lost in the first fight in Madison Square Garden, New York.
The second of his defeats against Usyk was in Saudi Arabia (first at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London), meaning this is his third fight in the country in the last four years.
Joshua’s most recent outing was a seventh round stoppage of Robert Helenius at the O2 Arena in August. Helenius is also the most recent victim of the ‘Bronze Bomber’, Deontay Wilder, who fights Joseph Parker on the same card as Joshua vs Wallin this weekend.
