Who Won Fury vs Usyk

Usyk won by split decision with scores of 115-112, 113-114 and 114-113.

Fury looked comfortable early in the fight, taunting his opposition and looking like his old dominant self that we haven't seen for a long time.

The Gypsy King landed some big shots in the early stages of the fight, most notably a cracking upper cut that caught Usyk at the end of the second round.

However it was the sixth round that the giant smelt blood and caught Usyk with a right hook to the head, forcing the Ukrainian to back off.

Fury continued to press his opponent in the seventh and eigths rounds using his longer reach to cause Usyk some problems.

Fury looked in control of the fight despite Usyk managing to remind him not to get complacent by landing some big shots.

The complexion of the fight changed in the ninth round when Usyk caught Fury with a thunderous left hand to his chin, sending the Brit stumbling and forcing the referee to to give a standing count.

Usyk pressed on, dominating his larger opponent for the next three rounds to take the fight the distance and win by split-decision.

Fury vs Usyk Rematch Clause

Tyson Fury felt that he was somewhat hard done by at the end of the fight, claiming that he thought he had won and confirmed that he will activate his rematch clause.

Both fighters had the option of calling for a rematch in their contracts should they lose.

As rumours initially suggested, the Gypsy King announced that the pair will go again in October however, this time it would not be with the undisputed title on the line.

The IBF will likely take their belt off Usyk as Filip Hrgovic, the mandatory to IBF champion won't be forced to wait around until after the Fury rematch to fight for the title and is instead scheduled to fight Daniel Dubois for it this June.
