Usyk Fight Record: Oleksandr Usyk fight record ahead of Tyson Fury Rematch

Oleksandr Usyk became the undisputed heavyweight champion in the first fight with Fury, what does his record look like now?

Oleksandr Usyk, the 37-year-old Ukrainian boxer, will step into the ring on Saturday to defend three of the four heavyweight titles against Tyson Fury.

Widely regarded as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world, Usyk has transitioned seamlessly from dominating the cruiserweight division to conquering heavyweight boxing.

After defending his undisputed cruiserweight crown against Tony Bellew in 2018, Usyk moved up to heavyweight to silence doubts about his size and test himself against the best in the sport.

He proved his mettle by defeating some of the sport's biggest names such as Derek Chisora, Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois and cemented his legacy by outclassing Fury in May to become the first undisputed heavyweight champion in 24 years.

Oleksandr Usyk made his heavyweight debut on October 12, 2019, with a convincing seventh-round TKO victory over Chazz Witherspoon at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago.

The former undisputed cruiserweight champion showcased his superior skill and fitness, outclassing Witherspoon, who had stepped in as a late replacement.

Witherspoon was unable to keep up with Usyk's pace, and his corner stopped the fight after the seventh round, marking a successful start to Usyk's heavyweight journey and ensuring he remained the mandatory challenger to the winner of Anthony Joshua's heavyweight-title rematch with Andy Ruiz Jr.

Usyk's expected bout with Joshua was forced to take a back seat due to injury troubles and various scheduling issues, however, the Cat used the time to solidfy himself as a top contender in the heavyweight division by defeating Derek Chisora in October 2020.

The fight went the full 12 rounds, and Usyk won by unanimous decision with scores of 117-112, 115-113, and 115-113, setting up Usyk's fight with Joshua and proving him a worthy challenger.

The first clash between Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua took place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, where Usyk challenged Joshua for the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles.

The Ukrainian went into this fight as the underdog against one of the division's heaviest hitters but proved that size and power doesn't always overcome speed and technical ability.

He won by unanimous decision with scores of 117-112, 116-112, and 115-113.

The rematch, dubbed "Rage on the Red Sea," took place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Despite being a highly competitive fight throughout, Usyk found his stride in the later rounds, with his stamina coming into play once more, outlasting Joshua to secure a split decision victory.

The judges scored it 116-112 and 115-113 for Usyk, while one judge had it 115-113 for Joshua.

WBA mandatory challenger, Daniel Dubois was his next opponent who became just the third man to ever knock down Usyk, albeit by an illegal shot.

However, Usyk quickly got to his feet and served a final blow to Dubois in the ninth round to retain his WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight titles.

Fury stepped up to the plate next, setting up a historic fight to decide the who would become the first undisputed heavyweight champion in 24 years, putting his WBC title on the line.

Fury dominated the early rounds, but Usyk turned the tide from round seven, landing a decisive left hand in the ninth that sent Fury to the canvas. Despite Fury going the distance, the judges scored 115-112 and 114-113 for Usyk, with only one narrowly favoring Fury at 114-113 to crown Usyk the undisputed champion.
