England seamer Jofra Archer had had his odds slashed on winning Sports Personality of the Year 2019, following a red hot start to his maiden Ashes appearance.
The 24-year-old was the catalyst in unsettling Steve Smith at Lords and has consequently been on the receiving end of a spate of bets from the general public.
Archer has been cut from a whopping 50/1 to win the individual prize, all the way into as short as 16/1, with money continuing to pour in for the Sussex star.
That's due to a flurry of bets over the last week, with 54% of all bets in the market backing the Barbadian-born bowler.

In turn, Stokes has now leapt above previous favourites for SPOTY, Lewis Hamilton (7/1) and Raheem Sterling (11/1) at the top of the market.
Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: "Following the undeniable success of Archer at the Cricket World Cup, fans across the country waited with bated breath to see if the seamer could replicate his form in the Ashes.
"That spell against Steve Smith has caught the imagination of punters across the country, prompting a wave of bets on the 24-year-old pipping his cricket teammates to the BBC award."
