Competition favourites Liverpool entertain championship form side Leeds whilst Man United host West Ham for the second time this week. Premier League strugglers Hull face Championship topping Newcastle and Arsenal welcome Southampton to the Emirates.

The last time Southampton beat Arsenal at the Emirates was in this competition 2 years ago. This was the first time since 1987.
Despite being the league above and the home side, Hull aren’t the favourites to beat Newcastle at 12/5. Newcastle are as short as 13/10.
Out of the last five meetings between Hull and Newcastle, four have ended with over three goals. Three have ended with over four goals.
Liverpool beat Southampton 6-1 in last year’s competition and 60/1 says they’ll beat Leeds at home by the same score line.
Leeds have never beaten Liverpool in the League cup. The last time these two played was in this competition in 2009. Liverpool won 1-0.
Out of the remaining sides in the competition, Newcastle have conceded the least per game (0.77) whilst Liverpool have scored the most (2.46). Hull have conceded the most and scored the least, with 2.15 and 0.84 respectively.
West Ham have only failed to score against Man United twice in the last 10 games.
