Lampard's best odds have dropped from 18/1 to 6/1 to make the move to the south coast.
There's been much speculation over Frank Lampard's next move after he left New York City last month, with Crystal Palace, Chelsea and West Ham all reportedly in the frame.
It now appears that he could be on his way to Brighton after his odds moved from 18/1 to 6/1 overnight. Crystal Palace remain the favourites with SkyBet at 11/10 but Brighton are the favourites with BetVictor to secure his signature at 2/1.
If the transfer was to happen it would a strange fit by all accounts. Brighton are flying high in the Championship and Chris Hughton would surely not want to cause any potential problems in the dressing room with a promotion push looming in the new year.
For Lampard as well there would be questionable motivation for him to drop down to the Championship as someone that has won the Champions League. If he does not move to a Premier League club, he is surely far more likely to try his hand abroad, possibly to another of Man City's affliate clubs, in Melbourne City. They are currently best priced 17/2 to sign the former Chelsea man.
He's also reportedly taking the interest of Gareth Southgate, after the England manager parted company with assistant Sammy Lee. A place in the England set up would lead him to him ending his playing career, much like Steven Gerrard in the last couple of weeks.
