Conte has certainly made his mark at Stamford Bridge
Chelsea have put together an impressive run of results since the loss at Arsenal and will go into Christmas top of the Premier League at least 3 points clear. Diego Costa, Hazard, Pedro and even Victor Moses have taken to Conte’s management style both tactically and in a man management sense. Can the blues begin to dream of winning the league?
There’s a statistic which suggests they can. In the Premier League era, every time Chelsea have been top at Christmas, they've gone on to win the title. A win at the weekend would see them maintain a six point lead, the second largest they’ve had at Christmas. If results go their way, they could be nine points clear, the biggest margin they have enjoyed since the 2005-06 title winning season.
| Season | Points Clear At Christmas |
|---|---|
| 2004-05 | 5 |
| 2005-06 | 9 |
| 2009-10 | 4 |
| 2014-15 | 3 |
| 2016-17 | 3-6 |
Starting the season as long as 11/2 behind the two Manchester clubs, the West Londoners are now the 17/20 favourites for the title after 10 Premier League wins on the spin.
