Following the sacking of Alan Pardew, Big Sam is the odds-on favourite to take over at Selhurst Park.
News broke this afternoon that Alan Pardew has been sacked as Crystal Palace manager, and given the strange timing of the decision, it seems Palace chiefs may already have his replacement lined up. Odds-on favourite for the job is former England manager Sam Allardyce. The 61-year-old and the FA mutually agreed to terminate his contract after just 67 days in the job following allegations made by the Daily Telegraph.
However, it seems we’ll be seeing Big Sam sooner than we’d anticipated. With rumours rife suggesting his representatives are already in talks with Palace, Allardyce is the firm-favourite to take over the reins, with his odds as short as 1/9 (best-price 1/5).
Gary Rowett is the second-favourite for the job at best-price 11/1, former Palace player and current Wales boss, Chris Coleman, is 16/1 with Allardyce’s England predecessor, Roy Hodgson, at 20/1.
