Marco Silva sealed his first win as Hull manager to lift the Tigers up to 17th as their odds shorten to 3/1 to stay up.
Hull's 3-1 win over Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon was more impressive considering they had to come from 1-0 down, priced in-play at 13/2.
Silva inspired his Hull side to victory with Abel Hernandez doubling his tally to two after half time to hand Hull the lead. The lead was then extended by a Tyrone Mings own goal as the Tigers jumped to 18th in the table, level on points with Crystal Palace in 17th.
Hull were the only side in the bottom seven places of the league to claim all three points on Saturday meaning the battle for relegation is now well and truly on with a number of teams.
Palace were thumped 3-0 by a West Ham side dealing with the Dimitri Payet fallout while Sunderland suffered a 3-1 home defeat to Stoke as fans left before half-time.
The loss for the Eagles means Sam Allardyce is still yet to claim a win as Palace manager and are only outside the relegation zone due to their superior goal difference over Hull.
Paul Clement got his Premier League campaign with Swansea off to a losing start as he watched his Swans side lose 4-0 to Arsenal and are now sit bottom of the league.
Silva's job at Hull is expected to be the toughest of the new managers appointed at the clubs threatened with relegation but he has already made an impression. Hull have shortened from 5/1 to 3/1 with SkyBet to stay up.
Palace are in free fall and if Allardyce fails to add much needed quality to his squad this January then the 11/4 currently available on them to go down will no doubt significantly shorten.
