Middlesbrough look to bolster attacking options by signing Spanish intentional.
The Boro have only managed to score 17 goals in 21 Premier League games this season - the lowest for any club in the top-flight. Their poor showing in front of goal has led to them being linked with a number of attacking stars to bolster their options.
Two weeks ago Middlesbrough were 12/1 to sign 22 year-old Everton winger Gerard Deulofeu, however this story seems to be gathering momentum as the ex-Barcelona player is now 7/4. Deulofeu impressed on loan at Everton before they snapped him up for £5.1 million in 2015. The Spaniards career hasn’t excelled as expected in Liverpool, and he’s lacked playing time this season. He’s only played 456 minutes in the Premier League in 11 appearances, completing 90 minutes on just one occasion.
AC Milan still remain favourites to sign Deulofeu at 4/6. His next club could hinge on Middlesbrough’s other transfer activity, as they’re 1/2 to sign Bojan and 3/1 to sign Snodgrass, two very similar players.
