After signing for £12 million in the summer, McCormack is already being linked with a return to Fulham.
Aston Villa announced the signing of Ross McCormack in August for a reported fee of £12 million. The Scotland international has an impressive goal scoring record in the Championship and Villa would have banked on his goals to help them back to the Premier League at their first attempt.
After 16 games he has only managed two goals though and Villa are set to confirm the signing of Jordan Rhodes which would open the door for McCormack to end his miserable stay at Villa Park.
A proven goal-scorer with former clubs Cardiff, Leeds and Fulham, his best season to date was with Leeds in 2013-14 where he was named in the PFA Championship Team of the Year and won the prestigious Golden Boot. This earnt him a record breaking move to Fulham for £11 million where he won the Player of the Year award in two consecutive years.
The 30-year-old has been linked with a return to Fulham where he managed an outstanding 42 goals in 100 appearances in all competitions. A return to London would suit both parties if Villa are able to receive the majority of the transfer fee they paid for him. He’s currently best priced 8/11 to return to Craven Cottage.
