Have West Ham won the race for Snodgrass?

West Ham are now odds-on to beat Burnley and Middlesbrough to the signature of the Hull winger.

Robert Snodgrass’ odds were as large as 6/1 to make the move to the Olympic Stadium just yesterday but he is now just 1/4 to become a Hammer this month.

West Ham, Burnley and Middlesbrough have all made their interest in the player clear, with Burnley having a bid of £10 million accepted yesterday. His odds to join the Clarets dropped to as short as 1/3 at one point, whereas you can now get 8/1.

It seems the move from Burnley – Snodgrass has not yet agreed personal terms - has jolted West Ham into action and it is believed they have matched the £10 million offer. The Hammers have their own problems with wantaway midfielder Dimitri Payet, and Robert Snodgrass would go some way to fill the void were they to let the Frenchman leave.

The Scotland International has been a key player for Hull this season, contributing 7 goals in the league and 9 in all competitions. However, Marco Silva is looking to put his own stamp on the team and has already let Jake Livermore move to West Brom for £10 million and Allan Mcgregor go to Cardiff on loan.

Silva has already added Lazar Markovic on loan from Liverpool and Evandro Goebel from Porto to his squad, and hopes he can add more before the window closes. Hull are ¼ to get relegated or if you think they can stay up you can get odds of 10/3.
