Wenger has called for unity from Arsenal fans following the club's two losses in a week against Watford and Chelsea.
It's fair to say Arsenal fans are not happy with either Arsene Wenger or the team ahead of Hull's visit to Emirates in Saturday's early kick off.
Arsenal go into the match as overwhelming favourites at 4/13 but given their recent form and Hull's improvement under Marco Silva it may not be a routine home win. Wenger seems to understand the pivotal situation his team find themselves in at this stage of the season, calling for the fans to get behind the team, saying:
"Even if we have had two disappointing results I want the fans to be behind the team. Focus on what we do well. They were great players last Tuesday and they are still great players."
Further to that, he still believes arsenal are in the title race, even if most observers see a battle for the top four on the cards again.
"It is never over. Even if you (the media) think it is, I don't - we can't think like that," says Wenger.
"We're in a pack that is very tight and the fight for every position will be massive, maybe more this season than before."
The Frenchman is right that the Gunners are in a tight pack but Chelsea seem too far ahead for anyone of those teams to catch. Conte's men are nine points clear of Tottenham in second and 12 in front of Arsenal. who are currently fourth.
Their odds are also 1/7 to win the league and it would take a monumental slip up from here for Arsenal to have any ambitions above and beyond finishing in the top four.
