Manchester United have avoided Roma, Lyon and Schalke in the last 16 draw for the Europa League.
Jose Mourinho would have been pleased with the Europa League last 16 draw on Friday as his Manchester United side were drawn against Russian side FC Rostov.
Despite being the bookmakers favourite to win this season, Mourinho would have wanted to avoid Roma and Lyon, who have both drawn each other.
The Red Devils remain the only English side in the competition after Tottenham were knocked out by Gent on Thursday night. United have impressed in Europe this season and eased past Saint Etienne with a 4-0 aggregate win in the last round.
