Chelsea beat Tottenham 4-2 in a thrilling FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.
Nemanja Matic scored one of the best goals of his career as The Blues secured their spot in next month's FA Cup final.
Chelsea got off to the best possible start when Willian, who controversially started instead of Eden Hazard, curled a free-kick into the back of the net with just just five minutes played.
Spurs responded well and were level in the 18th minute when Harry Kane expertedly flicked on a Christian Eriksen cross as the north Londoners looked the better side. But a reckless lunge by Son Heung-min just before half-time sent Victor Moses tumbling in the area and Willian stepped up to slot the penalty away.
Mauricio Pochettino's side dominated the second half with Chelsea camped in their own half, desperate to protect their one goal lead. But such was the dominance of Spurs an equaliser was inevitable and it came after the pass of the match from Eriksen allowed Dele Alli to pounce and poke home as Spurs looked the more likely to go on and win it.
But the introduction of Hazard, for Willian, seemed to be the difference as the Belgian popped up on the edge of the area unmarked to bury the ball in the bottom corner with 15 minutes to go. Matic then stole the show minutes later when he rifled the ball into the top corner to put the game beyond all doubt as Chelsea head to their fifth FA Cup final in ten years.
A disappointed Pochettino was gracious in defeat, he said: "Congratulations to Chelsea. We dominated the game but they were more clinical than us. I feel proud, we were fantastic in the way we played and in our philosophy. They had five shots and scored four goals and we score only two."
With all the talk in the build up to the game focused on Antonio Conte's decision to leave Hazard and Diego Costa on the bench, Hazard admitted his manager had got it spot on.
"When you play football you want to play every game, but the manager did a great choice - he put in Willian and he scored two goals," added the Belgian.
Chelsea will now wait to see who they will face out of Arsenal and Manchester City, who play each other in Sunday's FA Cup semi-final.
