A late winner from their main man sent Millwall up via the play offs.
Millwall will be plying their trade in the Championship next season after a one nil victory over Bradford in the League One play off final.
It will be a long trip back for Bradford fans, who would have been content in the early stages as their team were on top. Millwall grew into the game however and it was in the 86th minute that the blue half of Wembley erupted. Steve Morison – who was involved in all four of Millwall’s play-off goals – provided the killer below.
Today was a turnaround in fortunes for the Lions, as it was just last year they suffered the heartbreak of losing the play off final to Barnsley, three goals to one. This game being the second game Millwall have won at Wembley in their history, the other being the win against Swindon in 2010 that also saw them promoted.
Millwall were 7/2 to be promoted at the beginning of the season and drifted to a high of 8/1 during the course of it. You can get them at 14/1 to gain back to back promotions.
