Forget Chelsea, Manchester City are the team to beat next season according to the bookies.
Chelsea's impressive title win this season proved the bookies got it wrong last year when they had Manchester City down as the team to beat.
Despite City's third-placed finish, some 13 points behind Chelsea, bookies have again gone for City as they seem incapable of looking beyond Pep Guardiola's side. City are the 13/5 favourites with BetStars while Chelsea are 7/2 best price with Paddy Power to retain their title.
A second-placed finish for Tottenham doesn't seemed to have registered with the bookies, who have Spurs down as 8/1 to continue thier contest for the title under Mauricio Pochettino into next season. The bookies seem to believe Jose Mourinho can mount a challenge and consider Manchester United more of a threat at 4/1.
Liverpool and Arsenal are deemed outsiders at 14/1 and 16/1 respectively while the thought of Everton claiming their first Premier League title is a 200/1 shot.
Top Four
The Toffees aren't really expected to challenge for a top four finish even with a 12/1 price on them behind Liverpool 11/10, Arsenal 11/10, Spurs 4/5, United 4/5, Chelsea 1/3 and City 2/7.
Relegation
At the bottom of the league, Brighton currently head the market for the most likely to go down at 11/8 but expect that to change with the winner of the Championship play-off final between Huddersfield Town and Reading.
Out of the other promoted teams, Newcastle are expected to do well under Rafa Benitez and are 4/1 to go down. Burnley, 6/4, Watford, 7/4, and Swansea, 5/2, are all considered a shorter price for the drop than the Magpies, who are 1/6 to stay up.
Despite being involved in a relegation scrap towards the end of last season, the bookies expect Sam Allardyce to add some stability at Crystal Palace and have them at 13/2 for relegation.
Golden Boot
Harry Kane's remarkable end to the season has seen him head the field for the top goalscorer market at 5/2 and could be a tempting bet after even injury couldn't stop him claiming the golden boot last season. Romelu Lukaku could be on the move and with big clubs on the lookout some could be keen to get on the 7/2 available on the Belgian. Diego Costa at 5/1 may take some persuading while City striker Gabriel Jesus at 7/1 and Alexis Sanchez at 10/1 look big odds.
So proud to win this beauty again! Thanks to the team for helping me achieve this! Perfect week to finish the season! #COYS #GoldenBoot pic.twitter.com/O2g1YWVQSj
