League One Table 17/18 according to bookies and punters

League One Table 17/18 according to bookies and punters

We've had a look at the League One outright markets to see how the tables will finish according to the betting

Following a miserable campaign in the Championship last season, Blackburn's life in League One gets underway on Saturday. However, if bookies and punters are to be believed they will be returning to the second-tier, as champions, at the first time of asking. 26% of all League One winner bets have been placed on Blackburn to win the league at 9/2 - with MK Dons the second most-backed club with 8%. It's good news for Dons fans as, according to bettors, they'll be heading back to the Championship automatically at the second time of asking.

Another relegated side, Wigan, are the second favourites to win the league according to the bookies, but only the fifth favourites according to Oddschecker punters. All eyes will be on newly-promoted Portsmouth who both bookies and punters agree will finish in third place. Pompey fans will be dreaming of going one better and a return to the Championship. They're 3/1 to be promoted.

Bookies and punters agree that Bradford and Charlton will join Portsmouth in the play-off places, with the final place going to MK Dons and Wigan respectively. Despite a slight difference in order, both tables produce the same top six.

At the other end of the table Oldham, Blackpool and Shewsbury are the three that will be heading for League Two according to the bookies. However, punters believe none of these will face the dreaded drop. If you're a Gillingham fan you'll be nervous looking at the relegation prices, and even more worried when you hear that Oddschecker punters have backed the Gills to be finish bottom in 2017/18. Walsall and AFC Wimbledon are the two to join them. It could be a superb season for MK Dons fans...
