Thomas Christiensen's side caught the eye with a 3-2 victory over Bolton Wanderers.
Leeds got off to a winning start against newly promoted Bolton and it is the Yorkshire side who have attracted most bets in the Championship outright market this weekend.
17.2% of all bets and 38% of all stakes have been on Thomas Christiensen’s side since 3pm yesterday, despite majority of these bets being placed following their 3-2 victory at the Macron Stadium. Nearly two thirds (62.5%) of bets on the market since kick-off today have been on United.
Bookies have reacted by cutting their odds from 20/1 to as short as 11/1 in a place. 16/1 are the best odds currently on offer.
Leeds’ main striker Chris Wood also leapfrogged Middlesbrough’s Britt Assombalonga at the top of the Top Goalscorer market. The New Zealander shortened from 10/1 to 8/1 after managing to bag in his first match, unlike the ex-Forest front man.
