Feeling the Gegen-Pressure? Odds on Jürgen Klopp leaving Liverpool cut

Over half of all bets placed in the last 24 hours have been on Klopp leaving his post at Anfield.

Liverpool’s defensive frailties again came to light as they were beaten 2-0 by Leicester in the EFL Cup at the King Power Stadium and Jürgen Klopp is facing criticism after a slow start to the season. Despite creating 55 chances in the last three matches, The Reds have only scored one goal and their weakness at the back has led to an early exit from the last major competition they won.

Klopp’s odds on being the next Premier League manager to leave have been cut down to 16/1 in places, and over 51% of bets placed in the last 24 hours have gone on just that, with five times the amount of bets placed on Klopp than any other boss. However, you can still get a best price of 33/1 on the German saying goodbye after almost two years in charge.

The blue half of Merseyside are also struggling. Everton currently sit in the relegation places and were humbled 3-0 by Atalanta in their first Europa League Group Stage game. Ronald Koeman spent over £140m in the transfer window and is under pressure to turn around the Toffee’s form quickly.

Some bookmakers have Koeman favourite to be the next Premier League manager out the door and a massive 59% of bettors in the last seven days have plumped for Koeman leaving. This has been reflected in his odds going from 28/1 seven days ago all the way down to 3/1.

Oddschecker Spokesman Goerge Elek: “Liverpool's demolition of Arsenal is now a distant memory for Jürgen Klopp, and draws against Sevilla and Burnley followed by this defeat to Leicester has seen his stock fall in the last couple of weeks. An early dismissal still remains unlikely, but a repeat performance in the Premier League at Leicester this weekend would see those who took the 100/1 a few weeks ago get very excited indeed.”
