Crystal Palace are the favourites with bookmakers and bettors to be relegated this season
With no wins and no goals in five Premier League games it may come as no surprise that Crystal Palace are now firm favourites to be relegated this year. Their odds have fallen to as low as 4/6 with some bookmakers.
The punters also seem convinced Palace are doomed for the drop, with 23% of market bets since this weekend being placed on them.
With a trip to Manchester to face United on Saturday, Palace’s miserable record may well continue, and though Roy Hodgson has only been in charge for two games, several punters have wagered that he may be the next Premier League manager to leave.
Hodgson’s odds to be the next to leave are 20/1, well behind favourites Slaven Bilic and Ronald Koeman, but should Palace’s draught continue, these will shorten, and some punters have evidently seen value in picking him early on.
Palace remain the only side in European football not to score a league goal since the beginning of the season.
