Could Clarence Seedorf be managing in League One this season?
Clarence Seedorf’s glittering career could be adding an expected chapter. The Dutch legend has interviewed for the Oldham Athletic managerial role, and was reportedly given a tour of Boundary Park on by chairman Simon Corney this week. Off the back of this, his odds have tumbled. Having been 10/1 yesterday, he can now be backed at a best price of just 4/7.

It looks to be between Seedorf and ex-Everton defender Alan Stubbs, who’s currently priced at 2/1. So far today we’ve seen 88% of bets come for the former, suggesting he has the punters backing.
His managerial exploits haven’t been anywhere near the level of his playing career. A failed four-month stint at AC Milan was followed by an equalling disappointing 14 game spell at Chinese club Shenzhen.
Oldham look in trouble this season and can be backed at just 1/2 to be relegated to League Two. If you fancy Seedorf to come in and turn their fortunes around, you can get the Latics to finish in the top half at 16/1 with on bookie.
Oddschecker spokesman, George Elek: “There is a general discontent around Oldham Athletic at the moment, but the possible recruit of a four time Champions League winner would surely bring hope back to Boundary Park. If Seedorf does get the job, he will be hoping for more success than his former team-mate Edgar Davids, who had an ill-fated spell at Barnet between 2012-2014”
