Everton boss under even more pressure following Burnley loss and is now the clear favourite
The honeymoon of the summer is well and truly over as £141m of players have not improved Everton in the league so far and Ronald Koeman looks set to be an ever-more likely casualty of the Toffee’s slow start.
The 1-0 loss to Burnley at Goodison in front of the Sky cameras sees Koeman’s side marooned in the relegation zone and with fewer points than they had at this stage last season. The Dutchman’s price gets shorter and shorter as we get into the meat of the season.
Koeman is now as short as 4/9 in some places to be the next Premier League boss to leave his post and is a best-price of 8/11. He is the only boss who is odds-on, with Slaven Bilic next at 9/2, who had a potentially job-saving 1-0 against Swansea on Saturday.
Almost a three-figure number of bets have already been placed on Koeman in the hours following the Burnley defeat and this includes multiple double-figure stakes.
On the other side, Sean Dyche can do no wrong, as Burnley remain unbeaten away from Turf Moor in the league this season. According to bettors, he is so safe in his position that only 1% of stakes have gone on Dyche to leave, the same amount as the option for no manager to leave!
