Dyche can still be taken at 8/1 and punters are piling in
Sean Dyche can still be taken at 8/1 to be the next manager to leave his post, and punters have been willing to back this outcome heavily with news that Dyche is being eyed by Leicester as a potential replacement for Craig Shakespeare.
In the past 24 hours, a massive 82.6% of market bets have been on Dyche being the next manager to go. At the beginning of the week, he could be taken at 50/1.
Dyche now finds himself as a narrow second favourite to be the next Leicester manager, at best odds of 3/1, as per Oddschecker. Current Wales manager Chris Coleman is 11/4.
Sam Allardyce had emerged as an early favourite but his odds have plummeted to 10/1, making the Leicester manager job a two horse race between Dyche and Coleman.
Oddschecker spokesman George Elek: “It hasn't been 48 hours since Shakespeare left his post at Leicester, but the options for the new manager already look bare. Punters clearly agree with a huge majority of bets being placed on one man; Sean Dyche. That 8/1 is still available shows that the bookies are not running scared yet, but they will have to pay out a fair amount should Dyche get the job.”
