The former Dortmund manager has seen his odds drop from 20/1 to 4/1 this morning.
Thomas Tuchel has been the subject of a barrage of bets this morning in the next Everton manager market as the Blues look for replacement for Ronald Koeman who they sacked yesterday.
The former Dortmund manager has accounted for 88% of all bets in the market this morning following speculation that he is on the preferred list of candidates drawn up by the Everton board. The large volume of support has seen his odds slashed from 20/1 yesterday to 4/1 this morning with SkyBet and many other bookies are now following suit.
The German has been out of management since his departure from the Bundesliga giants at the end of the last season and has been linked with a whole host of roles in Europe, including Bayern Munich, West Ham, Southampton and Crystal Palace. While he has rejected the approaches of the English clubs in the past, the job at Goodison Park could be a different proposition, with promises of transfer funds available in January to further enhance a squad that saw over £100m of talent arrive in the summer.
Burnley manager Sean Dyche remains the favourite to replace Koeman at 2/1 with current caretaker manager David Unsworth also among the front runners. The top five names in the market are:
Sean Dyche – 2/1
Thomas Tuchel – 4/1 (still best odds 16/1 in places)
David Unsworth – 5/1
Marco Silva – 8/1
Carlo Ancelotti – 9/1
Oddschecker spokesman, George Elek "Thomas Tuchel is one of the most coveted managers in Europe so he would be a real coup for the ambitious Everton owners. If the money keeps coming for the German we could see him made favourite before the end of the day."
