Odds suggest the chances of a City mauling are better than City nicking a narrow win

Despite overcoming the odds and defeating the Red Devils, bookies have forecast that Bristol City will struggle to repeat the feat, pricing them at a massive 30/1 to win at the Etihad Stadium.
Extraordinarily you can actually back Bristol City to walk away with a 1-0 win at longer odds than the home team performing a 9-0 demolition job whitewash.
That’s right – it’s statistically more likely that Pep Guardiola’s cohort to almost reach double figures than Lee Johnson’s men to snatch a victory.
Both BetVictor and Betfair are offering a gargantuan 90/1 for the visitors to escape with a 1-0 win.
It could be argued that these odds are ever more absurd, when you consider that other bookies are offering 80/1 for a 9-0 City romp, alternatively 200/1 best odds when using Oddschecker.
The Robins will unlikely be able to keep a clean sheet against the Premier League leaders, but they will take inspiration from Wolves, who kept out City’s array of talent in the same competition back in November.
