Vardy is attracting a large portion of bets to join Tosun and Walcott in Everton's new look strikeforce
It was widely reported that Sam Allardyce was seeking forward reinforcements in this window - and if punters are correct – Big Sam is not stopping with Cenk Tosun and Theo Walcott.
Leicester striker Jamie Vardy has been heavily backed for a January move to Everton, as Sam Allardyce looks to strengthen in his striking department.
The Foxes forward has attracted 34% of all bets in his ‘Next club before January 31st’ market, with the Toffees sitting as clear favourites to secure his signature.
Vardy was as long as 16/1 just a few weeks ago, but the public interest in him moving to Goodison has seen that price drop and cemented the Toffees as standalone favourites at 10/1.
Despite Manchester United (16/1) being linked with the former non-league forward earlier in the transfer window, bookies say Everton are more likely to sign the striker than Mourinho’s side.
Arsenal are next most likely at 20/1, and a surprising amount of traction on Atletico Madrid has seen them sneak into fourth favourites.
Oddschecker spokesperson George Elek: “Big Sam didn't last long as England manager, but maybe we are getting a taste of what his Three Lions team would have looked like.
“Wayne Rooney, Theo Walcott and Jamie Vardy could well have been an England front-line in recent years but, if Allardyce gets his way, they could be lining up together at Goodison Park soon.”
