Five players Arsenal might move for this transfer window

Arsene Wenger has revealed the Gunners are looking to strengthen their squad further this month.

With a deal for Henrikh Mkhitaryan completed and a big money deal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang rumoured to be close, it wouldn't be a surprise it the prudent Arsenal hierarchy refused to sanction any more transfers this window.

However, Arsene Wenger confirmed in his press conference today that whether the Aubameyang deal happens or not, the North London club are still in the market for further reinforcements. Although you'd be forgiven for taking this claim with a pinch of salt.

Here are five signings Arsene may just be eyeing up:

Jonny Evans - 3/1

Alan Pardew has made it clear that he needs more attacking options in his squad, but needs to raise the funds for any potential signings first. 30-year-old captain Evans has attracted interest from Arsenal previously and with Arsenal still in need of defensive reinforcements, the Baggies may decide to cash in.

Steven N'Zonzi - 5/1

Commanding, composed and comfortable in possession, the French midfielder is just the type of midfielder most football fans believe Arsenal are in desperate need of. He has earned comparisons to Gunners legend and compatriot Patrick Vieira in the past, a man who they have never really replaced.

David Luiz - 7/1

Wenger definitively denied this rumour when it was put to him by the press earlier this month, although he did the same with Aubameyang, and look how that's played out. The Chelsea centre-half has fallen out of favour at the Bridge and on paper is the sort of defender Arsenal have specialised in over the years - comfortable on the ball and partial to a mistake.

Riyad Mahrez - 7/1

Why a bigger club hasn't snapped up the 2016 PFA Player Of The Year from Leicester just yet is quite baffling. The Algerian has had a hand in 15 Premier League goals this season, the most of any player plying his trade for a club outside of the top six. With the departure of Sanchez, Theo Walcott and Ozil's contract up in the summer, Mahrez must be a leading candidate to strengthen their front line.

Nabil Fekir - 8/1

Before Christmas, Fekir was heavily linked with a move to England, particularly Arsenal. Lyon's main man thrust his name into the limelight again at the weekend, scoring a stunning free kick against PSG, causing renewed speculation on where his future lies. Young, French and technically gifted, the winger would be a perfect fit for Arsenal.
