Bets pour in for the Baggies manager to be axed following investigation
News broke at 2pm this afternoon about four senior West Brom players being investigated following an “incident” on the club's training trip to Spain this week. A few publishers are rumouring the incident involved the theft of a taxi, but nothing has been confirmed.
The players involved in the “incident” haven’t been confirmed yet, but even so, punters are already thinking this could be the end of a tricky spell at the Hawthorns for Pardew. The former Newcastle manager is still 16/1 to be the next Premier League manager sacked, and since 2pm, 100% of bets have been on him being axed next.
The bookmakers have yet to cut Pardew’s odds, but they aren’t expected to be around much longer with the current support.
Speculation about the Spanish trip has led to several bookmakers cutting the price on the Baggies being knocked out of the FA Cup this weekend by Southampton.
Though The Midlands club have home advantage, their odds have moved out to 15/8 to win the tie.
