Barcelona new favourites following Champions League Quarter Final draw

The Champions League Quarter Final draw has now been made with Barcelona handed a favourable tie.

Barcelona have been cut from 4/1 to 5/2 to win the Champions League following the quarter final draw this morning.

The Catalan club were first out of the hat and have drawn Roma, with the first leg taking place at the Nou Camp.

Man City, the favourites for the tournament prior to the draw, have been drawn against Liverpool in an all Premier League tie with Liverpool at home for the first leg.

That means another big European night at Anfield and, subsequently, the potential dangerousness of that tie has seen Pep Guardiola’s men drift for the biggest prize in Europe. They were 3/1 before the draw and are now 7/2 best price having found out their fate.

Elsewhere, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have switched places in the market, with Madrid remaining 9/2 while Bayern have come in from 9/2 to 4/1, having drawn Juventus and Sevilla respectively.

Oddschecker spokesperson, George Elek: “An all English tie in the Champions League quarter-finals means that there will definitely be at least one Premier League in the semis. Barcelona are undoubtedly the biggest winners of the draw and will face AS Roma in the next round, and their odds have been cut accordingly.”
