Bowyer is being backed to take charge of Charlton on a permanent basis.
Current caretaker manager Lee Bowyer is being heavily backed to become the next Charlton manager, with his odds cut overnight.
In total, 86% of all bets are backing Bowyer to take over at the Addicks on a permanent basis following Karl Robinson’s exodus from the club.
Yesterday, Bowyer was 5/1 to become the next Charlton manager, with a steady stream of bets backing him into 2/1.
Bowyer will take charge of the side for their League One tie with play-off rivals Plymouth this Saturday (March 24).
Elsewhere, other candidates include Steve Cotterill (14/1), Uwe Rosler (14/1), Steve McClaren (20/1) and Steven Pressley (20/1).
Oddschecker spokesperson George Elek said: “There are some tough times currently being endured down at the Valley, although fans do appear jubilant finally getting rid of out-of-favour Robinson.
“In charge of the team at the moment, Bowyer is being backed to take control of the side full time, leading the market as short price favourite.
“He’s 2/1 to land the job full-time, which suggests an implied 33% chance of being given the job on a permanent basis.”
