Thomas Tuchel now the hot favourite to be next Arsenal manager

95.2% of bets today have been on the German taking over at the Emirates.

Reports today suggest Thomas Tuchel is the man the Arsenal hierarchy have decided will be the one to replace Arsene Wenger.

It was thought that Bayern Munich were lining up the Bavaria-born manager, however, he has supposedly rejected the team that sits 17 points clear at the top of the Bundesliga in favour of the team currently in 6th in the Premier League.

Today, a massive 95.2% of all bets on the next Arsenal manager market have been on the ex-Borussia Dortmund boss. Bookmakers have been slashing his odds all day, and he is now as short as 4/5 in a place after being available as big as 33/1 in the early hours of this morning.

Tuchel and Arsenal’s Head of Recruitment, Sven Mislintat, both worked together at Dortmund and their relationship completely deteriorated by the time Tuchel parted ways with the club. However, it is thought that they would be willing to put aside any previous differences; with some German press outlets claiming a deal has already been signed.

If true, this means Arsene Wenger would leave the Gunners after a 22-year-reign. The bookies have China as the 13/5 favourite to be the 68-year-old’s next destination, with the MLS next in the market at 100/30.

If you think Wenger will move away from the day-to-day stresses and into international management, you can get 11/2 for the Frenchman’s next project to be with the National Team.

Oddschecker spokesman, George Elek: 'Arsenal have been crying out for a change for several years now and it looks as if this summer that is finally going to happen.

Thomas Tuchel is a forward thinking, young manager who, on paper, looks a perfect fit for the Gunners.'
