Karl Robinson’s replacement at the Valley looks to be between two candidates
It looks as though the Charlton board are close to appointing a new boss, following the resignation of Karl Robinson last week.
According to the bookies, former Leeds men Harry Kewell (best price 1/2) and Lee Bowyer (13/8) are the overwhelming favourites to take charge.
As far as the betting goes, Bowyer has accounted for 49% of all bets on the market, whilst just 23% of bets have been on Kewell.
Kewell took charge at Crawley Town in May 2017 leading them to safety before guiding them to a mid-table position this campaign.
His rival, and once teammate, Bowyer is the current caretaker boss at Charlton and beat in-form Plymouth in his first game in charge.
The pair were part of the infamous Leeds side that lost to Valencia in the Champions League semi-final in 2001.
It's now likely to be down to one of these men to mount a serious promotion challenge, with the Addicks currently just two points off a play-off place.
Oddschecker spokesperson George Elek: “Should Kewell get the job, it could well be a Leeds dream team duo at the helm with Bowyer previously Assistant Manager to Karl Robinson.
“After tasting victory as the main man on Saturday, Bowyer now seems keen to get the plum job himself.”
