Moore masterminded the Baggies' victory at Old Trafford and support has come in for the former player.
It could well be a case of keeping things in-house for West Brom as caretaker boss Darren Moore has catapulted himself into the mix after a win and a draw in his two games so far.
Few gave the Baggies a chance of getting anything against a Man Utd side still technically fighting for the Premier League title, but a resolute defensive performance set the foundations for a 1-0 win that can still have them (somewhat) dreaming of survival.
You could have got odds of 20/1 on Sunday afternoon for the former West Brom, Derby and Burton Albion player getting the job on a full-time basis.
But that price has crashed over the last 24 hours, with one bookie making him as short as 3/1 second favourite to get his first professional first-team managerial position.
A best price of 6/1 is available however, and punters have been backing this in their droves.
All in all, 33% of bets placed on the next West Brom manager market have gone on Moore, more than anyone else.
The next best-backed man is the current market favourite. Mick McCarthy has been linked with the Leeds job and a potential homecoming at Barnsley, but is 5/1 best price to take over at the Hawthorns.
Elsewhere Dean Smith is another potential candidate, with the West Bromwich-born 47 year old doing a sterling job at Brentford. He is currently a best price of 7/1 and has racked up 13% of total bets in the market.
Oddschecker Spokesman George Elek: “There was a big twist on the pitch last Sunday that could well have big implications off of it. Darren Moore has impressed a lot of people with the way he has steadied the ship since becoming caretaker and West Brom’s victory at Man Utd has seen his odds slashed for the job full-time. There could be value at 6/1!”
