The Grecians are looking to reach League One for the first time in six years.
Paul Tisdale may well leave Exeter at the end of the season according to reports but if so, his 12-year spell in charge of the Devon club could have a happy ending, with promotion to League One.
The Grecians beat Lincoln 3-1 at St James Park to clinch a return to Wembley and hopes are high that they will be able to put to rest the demons of last season, where they lost in the play-off final to Blackpool.
City will face either Notts County or Coventry City in the final but they could well be favourites to go up, with bookies already cutting them to odds-on for promotion to the Third Tier.
The three teams that finished third in the Football League are all in the final and while Fulham are favourites to beat Villa, Shrewsbury are underdogs against Rotherham.
You can currently get 10/11 on Exeter to be promoted to League One, with Coventry and Notts County very closely grouped behind at 13/5 and 11/4 respectively.
The last play-off semi is tomorrow night and the bookies can barely split the Pies and the Sky Blues. County are 19/20 best price to reach the final, with Coventry 22/23.
Oddschecker Spokesman George Elek: “Exeter looked comfortable all night and they have beaten Lincoln in front of their own fans to reach Wembley for the second time in two seasons. Currently odds-on for promotion, Paul Tisdale continues to work wonders with the Grecians and they could well be back in League One after five seasons away.”
