Kane overtakes Ronaldo for Golden Boot with Panama hat-trick

Harry Kane is the clear favourite to win the Golden Boot.

Harry Kane continued his fine goal-scoring record for England, bagging a hat-trick against Panama this afternoon.

The two penalties and deflected finish took the England’s captains tally to five after just two matches, one in front of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Bet Victor have priced him as short as EVENS to win the Golden Boot, although if you shop around there is still 7/4 and 6/4 with certain bookmakers.

In 2014, James Rodriguez of Colombia claimed the Golden Boot with five goals, and Harry Kane has guaranteed himself at least two more games to add to his current tally.

Oddschecker spokesman George Elek: “Captain fantastic has shown he has the ability to deliver on the world’s biggest stage.

England are looking strong and if their captain can keep scoring, it might not just be the Golden Boot Harry Kane will be lifting come the end of the tournament.”
