Mane scored two out of Liverpool's four against West Ham at the weekend.
Sadio Mane has had his odds decisively cut on winning the Premier League Golden Boot, following his brace in Liverpool’s first league game.
Punters have backed the Senegalese international to take team-mate Mo Salah’s title of highest goal scorer in the league, with the 26-year-old the most popular bet to win the individual honour.
Mane’s had his odds cut from 66/1 before a ball was kicked this campaign, into just 12/1 following his performance on the opening day against West Ham.
The forward has attracted a whopping 55% of all bets on who will finish as top scorer, ahead of fellow Red Mo Salah who has 15% of all bets in the last 24 hours.
Salah’s had his odds trimmed as well after also getting on the scoresheet, although still finds himself trailing favourite Harry Kane who’s pushed out to 10/3.
Oddschecker spokesperson George Elek said: “Salah may have opened his account on the opening day of the season, but he looks sure to be a marked man this campaign which could open the door for other Liverpool players to get amongst the goals.
“Mane profited from this on Sunday, and has the ability to be one of the Premier League's top scorers if he remains fit.”
